Recording FAQ

  • A great mix begins with a great recording.

A great recording is intentional and commits to getting as close to the final sound upfront.

Recording is capturing a performance and mixing is the refinement. We reject the idea of “fixing it in the mix.”

  • When recording your song, we wll continue building it out session to session. In-between each session I’ll send production updates.

These are unmixed versions of your song used to reference our progression.

They’re rough around the edges but they allow us to separate the editing and mixing process to create a more efficient workflow.

  • For sure! We will supply you with the same files we would import into our own mix template.

This does take some time outside of our recording session, and we account for that in the invoice.
